Sextoy.com: Clone-a-Willy

18 07 2009

clonew

This is quite the interesting toy.

Premise: For anyone who wants to make a realistic replica of a penis this Clone-a-Willy kit is for you. It allows you to make an actual copy of any man’s dick and it lets you make it into a vibrator too. It’s as simple as making a mold. Pouring the plastic into the mold. And then waiting for it to set. It’s a neat concept that works really well despite a few problems. I actually used two of these since the mold on my first one failed.

How It Works: You cut the tube to the right size then mix up the plaster. This is the tricky part. The first kit we got, the thermometer was broken so we guestimated the temperature. The molding failed because it set far, far too fast. Then I noticed that there were two separate times listed in the instructions for how long to stir the plaster. So, when I got the second kit, thanks to the lovely Domina at Sextoy.com, I kinda threw out the instructions and did what I felt was best. The instructions say that the plaster sets slower if you add cooler water. So, I added cooler water, then mixed it fast. Once it looked like muffin mix (a little lumpy) I scooped it into the tube and X and I waited, attempting to keep him hard while we wait for it to just set a little. This time, the mold set beautifully. Instead of the vibrator that comes with the kit, we used the rubber we hadn’t used from the first kit. We mixed up double the amount of rubber and poured it into the mold. A day later we had a solid, if slightly prickly, clone of X’s cock.

DSC_0025

This is a comparison photo of X and the toy. Pretty good copy, huh? The only problem is that is a photo of X half hard and worn out from three days of sex. So, as you can see, making an exact copy of a guy at his hardest is tough.

Cons:

  1. The instructions are vague and not well written. I advise you to read them OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN. And be sure to read all the fine print.
  2. It’s hard for guys to stay hard when shoving their cock in a tube full of lukewarm oatmeal.
  3. The toy has a distinct rubbery smell and taste that doesn’t seem to leave.
  4. The rubber is HARD. I find that I actually cant really use this dildo. It’s too hard and too prickly. Even after taking an exacto knife to the plastic nubs that were all over it from the plaster, it’s still pretty rough.

Pros:

  1. The level of detail is pretty amazing. It really does make a realistic copy.
  2. It’s fairly simple if you know EXACTLY what you’re doing.
  3. It gives you everything you need in the kit.
  4. You can get refills of anything if you mess one step up.

X’s Two Cents: “It’s a great idea, but well, it needs to be improved overall. If the final product isn’t comfortable for the girl to use, so how is it worth the money?”

Final Opinion:

I liked this toy. It was like an adult arts and crafts project for me. Haha. But I agree with X, if it’s not usable to me, then it’s basically just an expensive statue. Of a penis. With some improvements in materials, perhaps this could be a better toy. I give it a 6 out of 10. It gets points for being realistic but it gets docked for not being able to use it.

Sextoy.com: Slimline G

11 07 2009

WF1301-7

In all honesty, for all the sex toys I have, I really don’t own many insertable vibrators.

I was excited to get this toy from the wonderful people at Sextoy.com because I absolutely love G-spot stimulation. My orgasms are harder and longer when I have something pressing against it. This toy fit that bill quite well. It’s a very good length and by no means intimidating. The shaft can’t be any thicker than a quarter. The head is a fair bit thicker but in a good way.

It’s made of hard, unyielding plastic so it’s VERY EASY TO CLEAN. Just wipe it down with some hot soapy water afterwards and you’re set. It also has a little, black washer-thingy-ma-bob that I think means it’s waterproof. I’ve used it in the shower and it hasn’t crapped out on me so I think I’m in the clear saying you can introduce it to water and it wont sputter and die.

Because of the hard plastic it’s made of, it is a bit noisy. Not terribly noisy. But when you crank up the vibrations it can get loud. Which isn’t a bad thing to me. But some people like vibes that are whisper quiet.

As for the effectiveness of the vibe? I give it an enthusiastic thumbs up. This is one of two toys that I have managed to make myself squirt with. So that puts it in my book of ‘very good things.’ My only complaint, and I find this happening with other toys too, but it sometimes gets turned around inside me. Like the head doesn’t hit my G-spot, it goes the other way. I like to think it’s because I’ve got bad-ass awesome PC muscles. But I know that’s not the case. Haha.

Also, the ‘Pleasure Collection’ of extra stretchy accessories is pointless to me. I played with a few and they add absolutely no extra sensation to the vibe when put on like a sleeve. And the stretchy cock-ring-like-thing only succeeded in ripping some of X’s pubic hair out when we tried it. So big fail on those.

Bottomline, I’d highly recommend this toy for people who like G-Spot stim or who are trying to find their G-spot. It’s a nice, easy, moderately inexpensive toy that gets the job done. I give it a 7 out of 10. And only because the stretchy accessories were pointless. And annoyed me a bit.

Vibrator.com: Lelo Ella

3 03 2009

lelo ella

This is my very first reveiw for Vibrator.com and my very first Lelo toy!

I have to admit, I’d heard SO much about Lelo toys from all my fellow bloggers that when I was told I would be getting to review the Lelo Ella I couldn’t help but get excited. Once the package finally got here I was really impressed by sleek packaging. I love the black box that the Ella came in as it’s quite useful for storage. I have a bit of a problem because I just use a plastic drawer under my bed for all my toys so there’s not a really good way to keep them all separated. The box solves that problem. Even if lube spilled in my toy drawer, I’m pretty confident the box would protect my lovely Ella.

But enough about the packaging and on to the toy. I have to give it to Lelo, they make incredibly sleek sex toys. The Ella is honestly a bit smaller than I like in green sex toys (I blame X for spoiling me….) but just looking at it, I had a feeling that it’s shape would make up for it. The best way I can think of to describe it is that it has an almost pestle-like head. It’s very wide and flat on the top and then it tapers down until it begins to get bigger again. I’ve only just the wide, flat end simply because I prefer G-spot stimulation over just normal penetration. The ergonomics are nice because the curved shape of it makes it a bit easier to maneuver. I’ve had problems in the past getting toys in the right spot and keeping it there.

I do, how ever have a few problems with the Ella. For one, while it is made of medical-grade sillicone, once it got lubed up it was hard to hold on to. (When it’s not lubed, it does have good traction) Second, it’s just not thick enough for me. I like the feeling of being filled. And while the Ella more than does it’s job when getting off, it just doesn’t stand out to me.

Overall, this is a great toy, don’t get me wrong. I give the Lelo Ella a 8 out of 10 for it’s superior matierals, thoughtful design, gorgeous packaging and just overall niceness. But I’ve turned into a bit of a picky person when it comes to toys, so this just didn’t do it completely for me. That doesn’t mean it can’t be amazing for another woman. For now, it’s towards the top of my drawer, at least until something else comes along to knock it down.

Sextoy.com: Deep Throat Oral Desensitizer

6 02 2009

dt04

I don’t like giving bad reviews. I really don’t.

I’d much rather test a sex toy and be able to go on and on about how great it is and how every woman should have one. But sometimes a product just doesn’t wow, and instead and it kind of flops.

This deepthroat spray did just that. I requested it because I figured I should try out something from the Lotion & Lubes category and because I have problems deep-throating X and I wanted to see if this stuff would work. Well, it doesn’t. At least not for me. I’m pretty good at being able to repress and control my gag-reflex but this didn’t help at all. X and I came to the conclusion that he’s too thick and it’s not about numbing my gag reflex so much as it’s about actually stretching my throat.

But that wasn’t the biggest problem I had with this product. I actually had a lot of problems with this product.

  1. It tastes fucking NASTY. I can usually stand most icky flavors but this is just gross. It’s akin to the worst tasting cough syrup you’ve ever tasted in your life. It tastes like the cough syrup Satan uses to torture people in hell with. It honestly is that disgusting. The label says ‘Passionfruit’ but it’s more like ‘Hellfire.’ BLEH.
  2. The spray’s active ingredient is Benzocaine, a chemical found in all sorts of over the counter anesthetic ointments. Reading up on the FDA website there are all sorts of complications that can occur from abuse of this product. There’s even a Public Health Advisory for Oral Sprays. Abuse can lead to dangerous levels of methemoglobinemia. Which is BAD. Is there any mention of this dangerous condition on the bottle? No. Anything on the bottle about contacting poison control if too much is consumed? No. They just tell you to only use 4 times a day and no more than every two hours….or as directed by a doctor. Hmm what? Wait…..Doctors can prescribe Deep Throat Spray? Interesting…..
  3. The label looks homemade. When it comes to medical grade chemicals, I’d rather them not look like the label was printed in my basement.
  4. The website they list on the side? Doesn’t work. Search Stardust Industries? No website. I’m not a fan of that either.
  5. Waiting the recommended ten minutes after application to go down on X let the stuff wear off. Using it after roughly 5 minutes made X’s member go a bit numb shortly after. Not good. Haha.
  6. Did I mention that it tastes NASTY?

In the end. I DO NOT recommend this product. There are far better, far safer sex toys out there. I give it a 2 out of 10.

[As a side note. This review doesn't mean the numbing won't work to suppress the gag-reflex for some. I just don't like this product as a whole.]sextoysexycouple575x75

Sextoy.com: Love Pacifier

18 01 2009

1303-11

I have no problem admitting that this is now probably my new favorite anal toy.

I reviewed one anal toy a few weeks or so ago and while I liked it, it was lacking in a few departments. I requested this toy on the off chance that the shape would be more inclined to stay in without the help of mine or another’s hand.

The box this came in was simple, just as it’s shown above. Though the toy was a bit bigger than I initially anticipated. I suppose that’s why the word ‘ADVANCED’  is on the box. Ooops. A warning, however, this toy is not for beginners. When I first played with it I was rushing a bit and pushed it in too fast. This resulted in me tearing a bit of skin and having a tender ass for a few days. Seeing blood after you take out an anal toy is never a good feeling, even if it’s only a spot or two. So, go slow with this one.

Again, I REALLY like this toy. The only downside I’ve found is that when you lube it up, the thin bit that connects the ring to the bulb is flexible. So, when you try to push it in your ass it can get a little difficult to keep it going the right way. Other than that, once you get the Love Pacifier in it settles in a really comfortable spot. You can feel how big it is but since the neck of it is thinner, it doesn’t feel uncomfortably full.

X and I had fun playing with this the other night. We’ve been a bit hit and miss with anal sex. Sometimes I can take it, sometimes I can’t. We’ve found that plugs like this one really help to relax me. The first night we tried it out, we lubed my ass up and slid the sex toy in. And miraculously, it stayed in. I was right about the shape working better for our purposes. Once it was in, X fucked me. And oh god do I like having something up my ass while I’m getting fucked. It didn’t take me long at all to cum just from that. We took out the plug, I got on my hands and knees and he lubed his cock up. To both our surprise, he slid right in without any ’slow down’s or ‘wait, ow….’s from me.

So this toy really does work. For two different purposes too. One, it’s just a great feeling anal toy. And two, it helps relax and stretch you out. And on a side note, it’s silicone so it’s very easy to clean. When it comes to sex toys, this is a good pick. And cheap too.

I love this toy so it’s not hard for me to give it a 9.5 out of 10.

Sextoy.com: Smart Balls

14 01 2009

36005Another wonderful sex toy review brought to you by the lovely me!

I have to begin by saying, to any woman out there reading this blog, buy some Smart Balls. Or a toy that’s like them. They are, to put it lightly, amazing. A toy designed to to strengthen PC muscles and in turn create stronger orgasms, is more than just weight training for your va-jay-jay. (Yes. I used it. Sue me. The word va-jay-jay makes me laugh.)It’s a toy that can be used to tease your self, or even be used during masturbation.

I personally absolutely LOVE these. When it comes to women’s sex toys I don’t think you can go wrong with the Smart Balls. The box they came in was classy and discrete, something I really do love when it comes to sex toys. I just think that having classy, just normal looking packaging removes the stigmatization from toys like this. It really annoys me when I hear people discuss how sex toys are so dirty. When you have packaging covered in hot, sexy, nude women it can be intimidating to women who don’t appreciate the female form as much as some of their peers. And it also just plays into the idea that sex toys are lewd or something. I don’t know. I have very conservative friends, so I heard the more conservative side of things.

But getting back to the toy. I really liked how the balls were connected not by a string or what not, but by the coating. So that they were one object rather than just two balls on a string. I know you can’t lose things in your vagina, but the idea of a string breaking still worries me. That can’t happen here. And the string to pull the two balls out is plastic coated so it won’t get nasty after a few uses.

The thing I really like about the Smart Balls is that once you put them in (a little lube is all you need) the little metal balls inside bounce around creating subtle vibrations. Now, I haven’t really noticed any change in my orgasms and I don’t think X has noticed a change in my tightness, so I can’t accurately tell you if they really do help in those two categories. But I can tell you they make doing kegels a lot more challenging and a lot more fun.

I put them in when I masturbate. Or rather, I never really intend to masturbate when I use them, but the vibrations they make while I go about my day make it impossible for me to leave them in for long. I get unbearably turned on. Which can be quite fun.

Overall I give this toy a 9 out of 10 for just being plain amazing.

Sextoy.com: Panty Tickler

4 01 2009

0041-04

Hate to say it but this Panty Tickler does just that, it tickles.

I thought this would be a fun sex toy because it can clip in your panties and buzz away. I could think of myriads of interesting things to do with this toy. Sadly, it didn’t end up living up to those expectations.

To begin, it is nice that the toy comes with batteries, but those batteries are watch batteries which are small and can run out quickly. It did come with enough to fill the toy twice, so that was thoughtful.  Getting the batteries in was a BITCH. The little plastic sleeve the bullet comes in has to be removed to put the batteries in the damn thing. It took me a good fifteen minutes to shimmy the fucking thing off enough to put the batteries in. It’s good that it’s tight because you don’t want it slipping off while using, but they could have made it easier to get to the batteries.

I was honestly surprised that the magnet actually worked. The little ladybug bugger actually will stay put. But the weight can drag loose panties down. Another problem is that the ladybug is kind of big. Maybe the size of a Snapple cap. So if you’re wearing tight pants you can really sorta tell something is down there.

My biggest problem, however, is the vibrations. I don’t think X got me when I tried to explain the difference between these vibrations and and the vibrations in my other two vibes. For one, being a tiny toy it has strong vibrations. Really strong. But they’re LIGHT, if that makes sense. They’re not deep vibrations you can really feel. They’re just……..tickling. They don’t turn me on, they make me giggle a bit. I just a need harder vibrations. That doesn’t mean this toy isn’t bad though. Oh no. If you’re the kind of person who likes a lighter vibration in a toy then this is for you. Wear it with a skirt and in a fairly noisy place like a busy restaurant or something similar and no one will be the wiser. But it has to be in a place with background noise because this toy is NOT silent. It has a fairly loud buzz.

Overall, I give this toy a 7 out of 10. It’s a good toy with one big flaw (the difficulty of getting batteries in) that I overall didn’t enjoy. But I think someone of a different temperament might enjoy it more. I think I like my sex toys intense. This just wasn’t intense enough for me.

Sextoy.com: Just in Case

1 01 2009

cnvjic-a100gn

This little thing isn’t REALLY a sex toy.

Now, I think every woman has had a problem with storing condoms in their purses. Well, maybe not every woman, but I’m sure some have. Being 19 and still living in my mother’s house a few months out of the year has presented a few problems. My mom likes to rifle through my purse at odd times, random times. So it was never really safe for me to keep condoms just sitting in my purse or wallet.

This little thing really helps with that. It’s a square compact about the average size of one you’d get with eyeshadow or what not. The Just In Case mirrored compact opens up to reveal a nice sized mirror. Only if you look close can you see the notch to lift up the lid on the condom case. It’s the perfect size to keep about two condoms in it.

I let three different people look at it. A friend of mine from school thought it was nice and a neat way to keep condoms in a purse. Two other friends were not informed of it’s true purpose and used the mirror multiple times without guessing at what was inside. So, it does work. I’ve been using it in front of my mother and others and no one ever suspects what it is.

I went on the website for this toy and I really like what they are doing. They’re setting a positive image for sex safe. And plus, according to the little card that came with this case, a certain percentage of all proceeds go to women’s health and AIDs research organizations.

Overall, I give this condom case a 10 out of 10 for it’s usefulness and the fact that the company is doing more than just selling condom cases.

Sextoy.com: Under the Bed Restraint System

14 12 2008

7911-12

To begin, I really like this sex toy.

X and I have had SO much fun playing with this toy. You can read some accounts of us trying it out it here and here.

I have a bit of a side that enjoys BDSM type stuff, as regular readers have probably noticed. So this toy was a natural pick for me. The packaging was simple when I recived it, exactly as it’s shown in the photo on the website. Opening it was a bit intimidating seeing as it was a neat mass of black tethers and cuffs. I recruited X to help me set it up and honestly, it only took us roughly 5 or 10 mins. You slide it under the mattress and viola, you have your own little bondage bed.

We tried the restraints on X first and I was a bit afraid that it wouldn’t really hold him down seeing as I only have a double bed and he’s 6′4ish. I had no problem with the cuffs fitting around his wrists and ankles, and they honestly held pretty well. Once he was on the bed, it only took a little bit of adjustment to get the restraints to the point where he was spread eagle on the bed. We really had fun with the toy and it did it’s job really well.

X says: This is really an amazing toy, we used it the first time with me being restrained, and my god it was quite possibly the best orgasm I have ever ALMOST had, 4 times…….  (to clarify, I teased him to the point of orgasm that many times)

Now, just today actually we tried the toy out on me. Mostly because I demanded that I needed to be restrained in order to review the toy properly. Hehe. The cuffs fit both my wrists and ankles as well as they had fit X’s. Though while X had willingly let me put them on him, I fought him the whole time he was restraining me. Now, I must mention that these are not made for people who are seriously into restraining or BDSM. After some struggling, it was easy to get the adjustable tethers to loosen up enough that I could manage to uncuff my hands. Despite this, the toy was very enjoyable.

X says: I’m disappointed I didn’t get to tickle her as much as I wanted.

Overall, I’ll give the under the bed restraint system an 8 for being fun, and exactly what was advertised.

Sextoy.com: Cobalt Dutchess

23 11 2008

I’ve just recently answered an ad from sextoy.com to be a sex toy reviewer.

I’m obviously really excited about this. I mean, it’s every sex blogger’s dream to get free toys in exchange for updating the blog about said sex toy.

Cobalt Blue Dutchess

The first toy I got sent was the Don Wand Cobalt Blue Dutchess. I was first attracted to it because of the lovely color, a bright corn flower blue in the photo on the site. Sadly, when I received it, it turned out to be so dark blue it was black. Of course, I’m not complaining about this because it does turn a wonderful shade of deep indigo when held up to light. It just wasn’t the color advertised.

This is the first glass toy I’ve owned. And I’m glad I got it. I’m not the type of girl who can get away with a softer toy with a lot of give. My g-spot needs firm, hard pressure. And damn. This dildo does that. Because it’s glass there is no give whatsoever and you can press and grind it against you and inside you as hard as you need to.

When I first opened the toy, I was pleasantly surprised it came with it’s own padded little lavender bag. Considering the toy is glass, it made sense to include a bag that could be used to store the toy with others without the fear of it breaking.

The first thing I noticed when I got the toy out of the package was it’s weight. in terms of sex toys, it’s a pretty hefty one; like I-could-knock-someone-out-with-it kind of hefty. I liked that, it gave the toy more presence when I actually got down to using it.

The nice thing about glass dildos is that they don’t need much lubrication. They’re slick to begin with, so as long as you’re marginally turned on you shouldn’t have a real problem. One thing I was a bit iffy on were the bumps. There’s a row of bumps along the top side, and another two on either side of the head. When I was first inserting the toy, it was a little uncomfortable. But once things got going, I forgot they were there. I’m not sure if they added anything to the toy or not as I was far more focused on the pressure against my g-spot. With my vibrator on my clit, and the heavy head of the toy pressing against my g-spot I came in minutes.

Another thing I liked about the glass was that you can get it very cold or very warm, using the refrigerator or hot water, and it retains the temperature for a fair amount of time. That adds to the fun.

There was nothing wrong with the toy, and frankly it got me off really well. I liked the design, the weight and the look of the toy. Overall, I’d give this toy a rating of an 8 out of 10.
